Founder
I started ByOrigin at 21 because fashion was lowkey starting to give NPC energy. Everyone was wearing the same fits, the same prints, the same “trendy” pieces that say absolutely nothing about who you are. And coming from India a country that literally runs on colour, chaos, art, craft and maximalism that felt criminal. Clothes here were never meant to be quiet; they were meant to tell people where you come from, what you stand for and what kind of presence you bring into a room. So instead of just ranting about it, I decided to build something better. I took a slightly unhinged but very intentional route, stepped away from the regular college grind and put everything into creating a brand that actually has a point. I obsessed over fabrics, references and designs so every shirt feels thoughtful but still works for everyday life.
- AMAN
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
ByOrigin clicked for me the moment the idea was spoken out loud. It wasn’t just about clothing it was about everything that was missing. I’ve always believed that Indian culture is too rich, too layered, too expressive to be reduced to safe silhouettes. When Aman spoke about bringing intention back into clothing, it felt obvious, like why wouldn’t we do this? Why wouldn’t we take art, textiles, music, heritage, personalities and turn them into something wearable for this generation? As the creative director, my role became about shaping that energy. ByOrigin isn’t about nostalgia for the past it’s about reworking it, remixing it and wearing it with confidence today.
